What students do you cater for?
Orange Tree School is an independent specialist secondary school for students aged 11 to 18 who will thrive in a small, therapeutic and nurturing environment. We welcome students who may have needs due to social and emotional difficulties such as:
- social/general anxiety
- neurodiversity such as Autism or ADHD
- social communication difficulties
- school avoidance and/or phobia due to past experiences or trauma
- sensory difficulties in large environments
- mental health conditions or depression
- obsessive compulsive disorders
- other social, emotional and mental health issues
How do I begin my application?
Anyone is welcome to make an enquiry to our admissions team, download our prospectus, arrange a visit to the school and attend one of our open events held throughout the year.
After this initial enquiry, you can make a formal application in the following ways:
- Those applying through the Private Pay route can apply directly through our website
- Those applying through the Local Authority route should get in contact with a member of our admissions team for further guidance
Do you have in-year admissions?
Yes! We offer year round admissions and would be happy to consider your application at any point throughout the academic year.
Do you have any open days or events?
Yes! We offer a series of events throughout the year from talks to open days. You can find out more about these events under the News section

How does funding work?
Funding may be secured through the Local Authority if your child has an Education, Health and Care plan.
