How to apply
All applications to Orange Tree School must be made through a Local Authority. Families are welcome to enquire and learn about the school, but an enquiry or visit is not an application, placement offer or funding decision.
A calm, personalised setting
At Orange Tree School, we believe in finding the right environment for every learner. We consider strengths, needs, required provision, and EHCP outcomes individually for every child. We value the whole person; therefore, a diagnosis alone does not determine suitability for our school.
How a placement works
Explore and discuss
Families can learn about the school, ask questions and discuss their preference with their Local Authority EHCP or SEND team.
Local Authority consultation
The Local Authority sends the EHCP and relevant supporting information. Orange Tree reviews whether it can meet the pupil's needs and may arrange a visit or appropriate assessment.
Decision and transition
Admission can proceed when Orange Tree confirms it can meet need and the Local Authority agrees the placement and funding. Transition is then planned together.
