The local authority funded route is for those who do not intend to meet the cost of the fees privately
If you are not intending to meet the full cost of the fees privately and will finance the fees of the school either in part or in full from the Local Authority through an Education, Health, and Care plan, then you will follow the local authority funded route. If you are intending to meet the cost of the fees privately. You can contact us at reception@orangetreeschool.org with questions concerning fees.

The process for children with EHCPs
STEP 1
Enquire
Anyone is welcome to get in touch with our admissions team through our website, arrange a phone call, and visit the Orange Tree and meet some of the people that make the school so special.
STEP 2
Apply
Once you are sure that the Orange Tree is the right place for your child and want them to be considered for entry into the school, you can formally apply to the school by completing our Online Registration Form. Please make sure to fill out the form correctly.
STEP 3
Application review and taster days
Our admissions team will thoroughly review the application along with any relevant supporting materials. Once we are sure that the Orange Tree may be a good fit for the pupil, they will then be invited for taster days. These taster days are the best way to find out if the school would be a suitable setting to meet their needs.
STEP 4
Offers
If, based off the paperwork and the taster days, the school understands that it is able to meet the child’s needs, a formal offer of a place will be given to the parents along with the proposed breakdown of the bespoke offering that the Orange Tree will provide.
STEP 5
Consulting with the local authority to secure an EHCP
If, after the receipt of an offer of a place, you wish for your child to attend the school then our admissions team will help advise you on your next steps on how to pursue an EHCP. As part of this EHCP process, parents can name a preference for a placement. This whole process can take up to 20 weeks in some cases.
STEP 6
Welcome
If the local authority agrees the placement and the associated costing then the transition for your child to join the Orange Tree can begin.
