Ellern Mede Schools offer high-quality, therapeutic education in a safe, secure, and inclusive environment to those who may be in-patients at one of our Ellern Mede Hospital partners for eating disorders, or – at our Orange Tree site – those who are not hospital in-patients but may have complex, multi-faceted needs such as Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), high-functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and anxiety or depression and who would benefit from a specialised education that is focused around their needs.

We are seeking to appoint Learning Support Assistants to support individuals and groups of students with SEND at Ellern Mede Orange Tree School.

We believe that with the right care and support, our students can leave us prepared for study and work, play an active role in their communities, and lead happy, curious lives.

Those offered the role will work alongside our outstanding teaching and support staff to help students reach their fullest potential inside and outside the classroom. The role will include providing teaching support, implementing and actualising the targets set out in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) and assist with the specific strategies and goal outlined in a student’s Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

A successful applicant may also be required to undertake additional responsibilities such as helping to oversee public examinations, supervising breaks and lunches, and supporting the application and review process for EHCPs.

If you require any further information about the vacancy, please telephone the School Office at 020 8148 1700.

Please complete the application form below and upload it to the 'Apply Now' page. Please ensure you complete full employment and education history, including grades achieved at all levels.
